Simulate absolute magnitudes following a Gaussian distribution.

Parameters:

  • mean (float) – Mean of the distribution

  • stddev (float) – Standard deviation of the distribution

  • rangen (numpy.random.Generator) – Random number generator.

Returns:

mags – Vector of magnitudes.
